Move from HD to 4K was actually fairly gradual through 1440p on the desktop. Media jumped from HD to 4K straight with BluRay so TVs followed suite, unlike desktop monitors.

The only game I can think of that will benefit from a beefier CPU on a Voodoo 3 is Deus Ex and it is a bit of an outlier. 512MB ram could be nice to have, not for gaming but for general system tasks. There are no ISA sound cards that will work 'fine' on a Pentium 3 AND require -5V so you are fine there. Regardless, if you really want a card that does EVERYTHING you probably want the One Card To Rule Them All but as far as I know it is no longer in stock or made, so you will have to settle for …

Anyone know what PC this motherboard has come out of? I can't seem to find it on Theretroweb. It does not look like standard AT or ATX, so I doubt it can be put in anything except maybe a custom made case? So I guess it's from some kind of OEM? Compaq or HP maybe? Doesn't look like IBM to me..

Halo 3 is the best in the series and you are in for an amazing fun time. It is one of my fondest gaming experiences, I was mesmerized by the gameplay and visuals. Bungie really did Halo justice with their last entry in the mainstream series.
